Summer Cocktails: Sea Salt Sage Margarita

Once you have finished your Meadowfoam Cocktail Collection Candle and have washed it out, it is now ready to take on a new life in your home: as a Cocktail glass! We will be sharing some beloved cocktails that pair wonderfully with our candle collections so stay tuned and get your glasses ready.
We are featuring the Sea Salt Sage Margarita by Charming Cocktails and inspired by Meadowfoam Products Sea Salt Sage Cocktail Collection Candle. A wonderful drink to sip as you stare into the sunset!
Sea Salt Sage Cocktail Candle

Sea Salt Sage Margarita
Ingredients:
- Lime juice 
- Sage Simple Syrup* (recipe below) 
- Tequila (light or mild) 
- Orange Curaçao 
- Ice 
- Coarse Salt for glass rim 
- Lime wedge for garnish 
- Fresh Sage leaves for garnish 
Equipment:
- An up-cycled Meadowfoam Cocktail Candle Glass 
- Cocktail Shaker 
- Cocktail Strainer 
- Cocktail Picks 
- Jigger or Measuring Cup 
- Small Plate for salting the glass rim 
- Cutting board 
- Knife 
Instructions:
- Cut a fresh lime in half and run the cut side along the rim of your cocktail glass. 
- Rim the glass with coarse sea salt. 
- Add the following ingredients to a cocktail shaker glass: - 1 oz. fresh lime juice to 
- 3/4 oz. sage simple syrup (details below) 
- 1/2 oz orange cuarçao. 
- 1 1/2 oz. tequila 
 
- Add ice to the shaker glass 
- SHAKE WELL! 
- Strain into a cocktail glass with ice. (We are up-cycling a Meadowfoam Cocktail Collection Candle vessel for our cocktail glass) 
- Garnish with a fresh lime wedge and a sage leaf on a cocktail pick 
 .
Sage Simple Syrup
Ingredients:
- 1 cup water 
- 1 cup sugar 
- 10-15 fresh sage leaves 
Instructions:
- Bring water and sugar to a boil in a small pot over medium heat. 
- Once boiling turn off the heat and add 10-15 fresh sage leaves. 
- Let sit and cool. 
- Strain into a container of your choice. 
A crisp and cool sea salt sage margarita in an up-cycled Meadowfoam cocktail candle glass.
